David F.

David is very excited to join the team at Hands On Massage.   He became interested in Massage Therapy after injuring his lower back while shoveling snow.  He quickly discovered how much massage improved not only his lower back pain, but also his overall quality of life.  After years spent working on his feet in retail and as a hair stylist, David decided to make a career change and find a way to help people as he had been helped.  Massage Therapy provides the perfect antidote for both the physical stress and mental challenges we all face.

He started his training here in Calgary, where he received the Massage Therapy Certificate(1100 hours) at Mount Royal College in 2006.  David went on for further schooling in Victoria, BC to get his Massage Therapy Diploma at West Coast College of Massage Therapy (3000 hours), from which he graduated in 2009.  Currently a member of the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia and the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada, he looks forward to helping you reach your full potential.

Treatments begin with a thorough assessment and case history.  Based on individual need, a treatment plan is implemented, and may incorporate:
  • Swedish massage/ deep tissue
  • Manual Lymph Drainage
  • Myofascial release
  • Trigger Point Therapy
  • Cranio-sacral
  • Joint Mobilization
  • Attachment Release

Each individual is unique and each treatment should be as well.
